Hello Dystopian Rising Kickstarter Community,
No major updates this month, just slow progress and a few revisions as we move closer to completing our campaign. But, it's the (almost) end of the month, so let's check in to see where we are.

As noted last month, the manuscript is in the reviews and approvals phase, with notes and tweaks going back and forth until everyone can finally sign off on the book. Can't wait!

Once we've got our final reward out, I'll begin the final phases of closing down this campaign. We've still got some time before that happens, but if you've got any outstanding issues or questions, it's best to address them now while everything's still active.

Hello Dystopian Rising Kickstarter Community,
It's the final week of September, and time for our regular month end status update. No big announcements this month - we've got one project left, one final Stretch Goal reward, but we're still suffering from the delays in the process thanks to the pandemic. Let's review!

So, a few more hands than a strictly Onyx Path project, and a little bit longer to pass around. As a Hero, a Scion becomes a figure of myth and story, an exemplar of some virtue of their chosen society or the culture they’re born into. Even before their Visitation, the children of the Gods are a breed apart. But some want more than this lesser form of immortality, forever in the shadow of their parents. The golden ichor within the Scion’s heart sears and cooks them, ever burning away any human frailties of the Scion and driving them toward more audacious Deeds. They seek to become truly transformational figures, leaving The World forever different in their wake. At the fifth dot of Legend, it all reaches a tipping point, where the Scion is formed more of divine ichor than mortal flesh —more immortal than mortal, a true Demigod. They have declared to The World that they will not be pawns of Fate, but players in their own right. They will succeed in becoming a God, or they will die with their failure.
Everything up to this point was your prologue. Now it’s time to live your myth.
Scion: Demigod continues the path set down by Scion: Origin and Scion: Hero, expanding Scion Second Edition’s power level and charting the next level of power tiers for the Scions of the Gods. Players will take their characters through a tightly designed yet flexible story arc that ends in apotheosis or death – either way, the character will no longer be mortal after this book. Your characters don’t have to follow every Milestone with their Deeds — but they cannot run from their destiny once they’ve chosen to embrace it.

Hello DR:E Community,
Final days of July, so time to sneak in a month end update!
Time moves oddly in 2020, but it seems extra slow when you've got one final reward to go out...
So, to state the obvious, 2020 has been a weird year. Normally, last night would have been Gen Con Eve, and if the past 20 years has developed any rituals, I'd have spent a good portion of that evening catching up with Rich Thomas to find out what he's got going on.
The good news is that many more of us can peek in on a similar conversation, as Gen Con Online 2020 begins today. Onyx Path will be doing a "What's Up With Onyx Path?" panel today, Thursday, July 30th at 1:00 PM EDT US time, during the Gen Con Online convention that is happening instead of a physical space Gen Con this year. That will be shown on the Onyx Path Twitch channel, so you can check it out here: TheOnyxPath Twitch
There will also be gaming sessions during the virtual convention, so check the Gen Con page for those! https://www.gencon.com/online/
I will miss seeing all of my friends that I only get to see in person once a year, but I'm excited to see all of the online games and panels and keep connected to this awesome community.

Set in two time periods - the 1970s, when these movies were made, and the 19th century, when many were set - you may just find yourself running or participating in a tale of suspense set across two different eras, both of which contain a mix of hammy acting, technicolor blood, wobbling sets, and all the screams an audience could want.
Indulge in the cigarette smoke, despairing mood, and wide collars of the 1970s. Enjoy the rock and drugs entering the mainstream. What was counterculture is now simply culture. Maybe you favor the disco, or perhaps the punk scene is more your thing. Grow a mustache. Grow a whole beard! It’s no longer rebellious to wear hair or sideburns so long or skirts so short: it’s expected. Hitchhiking isn’t a death sentence yet. Or not quite. Everyone owns a car, and international travel has never felt so easy.
Prepare to trudge through the London fog, creep around unlit alleys, and get lost on misty moors as your deerstalker and long coat gets saturated from the rain apparently incessant throughout the 19th century depicted in the cinema. Prepare to catch a ride in a carriage and ask the driver why he’s going so fast through this part of the woods. Expect to knock on the door to an imposing castle, only to see the butler, far too pale of face, ask whether you’re here to see “the mistress.” The 19th century beckons you to play within its Victorian gothic mood. Start the game here or start it in the 1970s — whichever you prefer, They Came from Beyond the Grave! has monsters, stories, and encounters for whatever tale you wish to tell.

Hello DR:E Community!
As another month comes to the end, it's time for our regular update. No major updates for this month (our final reward is moving forward, as noted last month, though not at the finish line yet), but wanted to make sure I continue my monthly update posts to track all of our rewards and continue to share any info about the project (and other Onyx Path projects) so we're all in the loop.

Before I post our monthly round-up of reward status notes, I just wanted to share a few links to some Actual Plays of the Dystopia Rising: Evolution game that are currently available to check out.
Shown as part of Onyx Path's Twitch channel and eventually finding the way to YouTube, Thieves of Old York follows the adventures of four unlikely allies as they try and earn cold, hard cash on the streets of Old York in the Dystopia Rising: Evolution universe in this tabletop adventure.
This is the first episode and there were some technical difficulties in the middle, so be mindful of that. Uses Roll20 as an online tabletop platform, OBS, and Discord. Catie Griffin is the Storyguide, along with Jesse Elsinger (Bridge, the Driver), Tobias McCurry (Jaxon, the Gun Nut), Liam Neary (Declan "Double-Down" Dodger, the Face), and Michael Pucci (Zer Oshire, the Undead Gentleman)!
Roll the Role also explored the world of Dystopia Rising: Evolution, with episodes available on YouTube. Check out their first session below. All three sessions in this scenario are currently available!
