Hello Survivors,
It's been just over a month since our Backer PDF version of Dystopia Rising: Evolution was sent out! I hope you've enjoyed digging in to it as much as I have. I think it's an awesome-looking digital book, and can't wait to see where the next steps take us on our journey.

A Message from Eddy Webb
Hello, survivors! I'm writing from my hotel room at PAX Dev in Seattle, but I wanted to give y'all a quick update on Dystopia Rising: Evolution!
FINAL PDF SOON
First off, huge thanks to everyone who sent in errata. You were life-savers! I was able to sneak your last-minute corrections in, and the unceasing Mike Chaney is finalizing the layout and prepping it for printing. I can't wait for everyone to see the final book -- it's going to be gorgeous.
STRETCH GOAL PROJECTS
As I mentioned a few months ago, the stretch goal projects are whipping along quickly! Both the jumpstart and Helnau's Guide to Wasteland Beasties are already in layout and getting art. So soon after you get the core book, you'll have some new critters to use, as well as an introductory adventure to entice new survivors into the wastelands.
STORYPATH NEXUS
In case you missed it, a while back we announced the launch of "Storypath Nexus." It's a community content program that allows fans of our various Storypath games to make their own adventures, characters, antagonists, and the like. We've started with Scion, and soon we'll be unlocking the Trinity Continuum, but Dystopia Rising is right around the corner. Already I've heard that there are lots of people chomping at the bit to add new and exciting material for DR:E to the Storypath Nexus, so hopefully you'll have a lot of fan content to choose from in your DR:E chronicle!
MORE TO COME?
Even though a lot of things are shooting forward, there's still our fiction anthology, which the eternally awake Matt McElroy will be kicking off when he has the chance. And beyond that? Well, we'll have to see what the wastelands hold for us. Until then, keep an eye out for the final layout of the core rulebook!

BACKER PDF VERSION
This is the first versions of Dystopia Rising: Evolution to be released. We've sent you these initial Backer PDFs for three reasons:
1) To thank you for your support! You helped bring this game to life (so to speak!) and bring this into the world, and you deserve to see it first!
2) So you can start playing right away! These are the actual rules - these are the core rules for Dystopia Rising: Evolution in tabletop form! It's real, and it's time to start defending your community!
3) To make the final version the best it can be! The design and development teams have done their best to proofread and correct any errors and typos - but some always sneak through. If you catch any typos, incorrect math, visual glitches, and the like, we want to hear about them and correct them before we send the book off to print.
With that in mind, I'd like to introduce the new errata and correction process!
Onyx Path has launched a special Dystopia Rising: Evolution Errata Form, which you can access here:
Generally, we try to keep errata collection open for the next 2 weeks, although they may be accessible a little longer due to the new nature of this method. Still, please report what you can as soon as possible to make sure we're getting everything covered.
We won't be collecting errata from other spots, just this specific form. Please note this form will be for errata only - typos, incorrect math, page elements that overlap incorrectly, etc. It won't be for book discussion - you can do that in a different thread, or on the Kickstarter comments page.
Also, they already know about the Page XX notations - those are usually corrected after any changes are made and the books are being finalized.
After any needed corrections are made (based on your feedback!), we will prepare an updated final PDF version of the book and you will receive a notice from DrivethruRPG that you can re-download your file with the latest version.
You've already made the book a reality with your Kickstarter support. Now you can make it even better by helping us crowdsource any minor errors and corrections.

Gen Con 2019 Update

Hello Dystopians,
Just wanted to throw a quick update out to let you know about Onyx Path and Gen Con 2019.
It's Gen Con James, preparing for the Gaming Apocalypse (lack of sleep!)
As you may have read in Onyx Path's recent Monday Meeting Notes blog, they won't have a booth in the Exhibit Hall this year. But that doesn't mean that Onyx Path won't be at the convention, or that you won't be able to pick up copies of your favorite games.
Instead, Onyx Path will be running seminars and game sessions, and leave the Exhibit Hall business to their sales partners - Studio 2 Publishing and Indie Press Revolution (IPR).
The Onyx Path team (Rich, Matt, Eddy, whoever else shows up...) will mostly be participating in the following panels during the convention:
Thursday 3pm – What’s Up With Onyx Path Publishing? panel (Rich Thomas version)
Friday 11am – What’s Up with Onyx Path Community Content? panel
Friday 3pm – Freelancing with Onyx Path Publishing? panel
Saturday 11am – What’s Up with Onyx Path Publishing? panel (Rich-less version)
In addition, there are some programmed game sessions in the Event Guide.
While most of the games are currently marked as sold out this close to the convention, it's always a good idea to double-check if you're really interested. There are sometimes drop outs if people aren't feeling well or are unable to show, and a handful of generic tickets can maybe get you slotted into a vacated chair.
Of course, there will likely be a ton of pick-up and casual games over the Best Four Days in Gaming, so keep your eyes open for anyone wearing a cool T-shirt! I'll be dressed just like my avatar (although it's a few years old now, so imagine with more white in the beard!) so feel free to say hello if you see me!

June 2019 Update

Hello Dystopians,
As we're hitting the end of June, it's time for a status update, so we're all on the same page and know where we stand. The next update I send will probably be more exciting, because we're very close to seeing a reward, but not quite there yet. But very very soon...
Some of our backers had early access to these rules, and I know that several local DR branches have been reviewing and sharing feedback. This PDF from Eschaton Media is currently a living document - it's getting updated regularly, so once you've added it to your DriveThru library, you can re-download the latest version whenever you'd like. And, if you have subscribed to notifications, you'll know every time it's been updated. (It's been fairly regular so far - almost daily!)
So, while that book is not the focus of this kickstarter campaign, I'm always happy to share any Dystopia Rising info! And, if I don't have words, I'm happy to share pictures...
